Begin your tour and discover Hadrian’s Arch and the Temple of the Olympian Zeus, from where you will be led to the magnificent Acropolis, a highlight of the city of Athens. Following your guide, you will immerse yourself in the historical importance of this ancient site. Admire the ruins of imposing buildings such as the Parthenon, the Erechtheion, Propylaea, and the Temple of Nike as you explore the hill. You will gain insight into the significance of the historical monuments, including the Odeon of Herodes Atticus, the Ancient Agora, the National Observatory of Athens and the city’s scenic hills: Filoppapos, Mars, and Pnyx. Have your camera ready and fill the memory card with picture-postcard vistas from the magnificent views of the city from this scenic hilltop location.
Going down, continue your tour to the Monastiraki, a flea market neighbourhood in the old town of Athens near Plaka. The area is a significant tourist attraction and one of the central shopping districts of the city. Enjoy the most beautiful walks, exciting sights, the best hangouts and the unknown stories of the most beloved Athenian spot. See the stately pillars of the remaining Roman Hadrian’s Library and the Roman Agora, while the passage from the well-preserved Tower of the Winds will impress you. Then, explore Plaka’s picturesque backstreets and discover a charming little neighbourhood at the foot of the Acropolis, Anafiotika. You will spend enough time in the settlement of Anafiotika, considered to be the loveliest part of Plaka.
